The remaining portion of this page provides an overview of the technology that drives LHBaptist.com and is intended to serve as a reference for churches that desire to duplicate any of our functionality.
Our Web Site Content Management & Hosting Solutions
Our core editorial content is managed on the Squarespace platform, a hosted web-site management solution. Squarespace was designed to enable virtually anyone to create and manage web sites. Very little technical skill is required to create and maintain simple Squarepace sites.
We augment the Squarepace solution with additional hosted services provided by Google (calendar, maps) and The Weather Channel. See below for more information.
Graphic Design
In 2011, we updated the graphic design of our web site. The design was completed by MCS Web Solutions of Toms River, NJ.

Our calendar application is powered by Google Calendar
Mapping Utilities
Our primary interactive map is powered by the Goole Maps API, a tool that is freely available from Google. The Google Maps API enables developers to embed Google Maps in their own web pages with JavaScript. Technically skilled developers users may add overlays to the map (including markers and polylines) and display shadowed "info windows" just like Google Maps. View our map code.
Weather Widget (Inclement weather page)
Our weather information is provided by The Weather Channel via their weather widget.
Our Latest Updates (view at bottom of home page)
This feature is powered by a Twitter Widget that displays the most recent updates from our twitter feed.
We also use a Facebook tool to automatically post our facebook updates to our twitter page.
