Monday, September 13. Men's Preaching Class: Attend the next twice-monthly preaching class at Calvary Independent Baptist Church in West Redding, Monday, Sept. 13, 7:00 - 8:30. See Pastor to arrange a ride. The church is located at 3 Sidecut Rd, West Redding, CT 06896.
Thursday, September 16. Church Choir College: Would you like to see a choir at Long Hill Baptist Church? The Choir College is an exciting way to prepare by learning more about singing. Consider attending Choir College on Thursday evening, September 16, at Central Baptist Church in Southington, CT. Learn musical concepts, correct breathing, posture, diction, interpretation, vowels, and musical expression. Students will also be invited to sing in a sacred music concert on Saturday, September 18, at 7pm. More information.
September 19. Constitution Vote: At our quarterly business meeting of Sunday, August 9, Pastor introduced several amendments to our church constitution. In accordance with Articles VI and X of our Constitution and Bylaws, Brother Chris Mazza has called for a meeting to vote on the adoption of these amendments. The meeting will immediately follow our Sunday morning service on September 19, 2010. In order to adopt the proposed amendments, half of our church membership must be present. Please make every effort to be present at our morning service on September 19
September 24. Men's Overnight Retreat: Our 2nd annual men's overnight retreat will be Friday night, September 24 at Galilean Baptist Church in Stafford Spring, CT. This is a great opportunity to hear great preaching and music and to fellowship around the campfire.
October 11. Teen Youthfest 2010: Our young people (age 12 - grade 12) will attend Youthfest at Central Baptist Church in Southington, CT. This is a large Christ-centered event where teens hear great preaching and may also participate in a variety of activities including: paintball, a rock climbing wall, Japanese obstacle course, human foosball, scores of booth activities, and numerous games. We're encouraging our teens to invite unsaved friends. More information will follow on Tuesday at teen group.
October 18-19. A Revival Meeting at Long Hill Baptist Church! Please mark your calendars and plan to attend an old-fashioned Fall revival meeting at our church on Monday & Tuesday evenings, October 18-19 at 7:00 PM. Come both nights for great preaching, worship music and fellowship following each service. We'll have special speakers for both services. Please pray that the LORD will work greatly in this meeting.
