Our Speakers:

Our Monday evening speaker was Pastor Ken Brooks of Calvary Independent Baptist Church, West Redding, CT.   Saved in 1973, he received a B.S. in Bible with a minor in Greek from Bob Jones University in 1979. After fifteen years serving as a Christian school teacher and assistant pastor in his home church in central New Hampshire, Pastor Brooks came to Connecticut in 1995 to help found the church where he now serves. He earned an M.B.S. with excellence in Greek from Emmanuel Baptist Theological Seminary in Newington, Connecticut, in the first year of its operation.   A National Merit Society graduate of the Loomis School in Windsor, Connecticut, Pastor Brooks and his wife live in Danbury. They have three grown children serving the Lord and seven grandchildren.

 

Our Tuesday evening speaker was Pastor Chris Camp of River Valley Baptist Church, Ansonia, CT.  Brother Camp is a native Pennsylvanian, growing up in York and living for several years in Warren, PA.  Pastor Camp was saved at the age of 25 while serving in the United States Navy, stationed at the submarine base in Groton, CT. Pastor Camp and his wife, Jayne, were married in September of 1986 and have lived in Groton, CT; Sarasota, FL; Warren, PA;  and Lattimore, NC. They have now settled, along with their four daughters, in Ansonia, CT. Pastor Camp has been the pastor of River Valley Baptist Church since November of 2005. He  came to New England in the summer of 2003, and served alongside Pastor Norman Aabye as the Associate Pastor of River Valley.  Pastor Camp received the Graduate of Theology Degree at Ambassador Baptist College in Lattimore, NC.  In 2008, he also received the Bachelor of Divinity from Emmanuel Baptist Theological Seminary, Newington, CT.
