Our Speakers:

Our Monday evening speaker is Pastor Dan Herr of Chester Baptist Church, Chester, MA.  In 1999, the Lord called Pastor Herr into full-time Christian service.  After two years of serving at his home church in Lancaster Country, PA, brother Herr moved to New England to receive additional Bible training at Emmanuel Baptist Theological Seminary.  In 2004, he received the Master of Divinity degree and began making plans to plant an Independent Baptist Church in Chester, Massachusetts.  This June, Chester Baptist Church celebrated its fifth anniversary and dedicated a church building that God provided.  Pastor Herr and his wife, Patty, have four beautiful little girls—Vivienne, Evelynn, Carolynn, and Gwendolynn. Lord willing, they will sing a song for us.

Our Tuesday evening speaker is Dr. Thomas M. Strouse, pastor of Bible Baptist Church, Cromwell, CT.  Dr. Strouse was saved in 1969.  He subsequently surrendered to serve the Lord and earned two doctorates in theology.   In 1978, he was ordained to the Baptist ministry.  He has taught in Baptist churches for forty years as seminary dean and now as pastor.  Dr. Strouse is a well-known defender of the King James Bible and the Greek and Hebrew texts which underly our bible.   He is the first pastor of Bible Baptist Church in Cromwell (BBC), which was founded in 2009.  BBC is home to Bible Baptist Theological Seminary (BBTS), which provides both resident and distance education courses courses leading to MBS, MDiv, DMin, and ThD degrees.   Dr. Strouse teaches BBTS classes in the United States, Ireland, Korea and the Philippines.   He has written numerous articles and books, including a recent commentary on the Epistle to the Ephesians.  Dr. Strouse and his wife Jan have fourteen children and fourteen grandchildren.
