Bridgeport Gospel Crusade (Summer 2026)

What is the crusade? The Bridgeport Gospel Crusade is a three-week effort designed to deliver the gospel to every home in Bridgeport. The crusade culminates in a five-night evangelistic tent meeting (combined with a daily afternoon youth program).
Who is the organizer? Northeast for Christ Ministries, a ministry of Gospel Baptist Church, Manchester, New Hampshire, under the direction of Evangelist John Barnes.
When is the crusade?
Door-to-door gospel outreach effort will be conducted July 27 - August 21 (Daily);
Nightly tent meetings will be conducted August 17-21, 2026.
Where is the crusade? Nightly services will be conducted in Bridgeport.
How may we participate?
Prior to the crusade, our members may participate by:
Helping to prepare J&R booklets (see Pastor Hammond)
Assisting with door-to-door canvassing (Beginning Monday, 7/27 — through end of crusade. Mondays - Saturdays).
Teams will tentatively meet at LHBC at 9 AM daily.
During the crusade week, our members will have the opportunity to:
Be involved in daily door-to-door scripture distribution;
Attend the nightly services at 6:30 PM;
Join a choir that will sing in nightly services (commitment can be one or more nights):
Pastor Tom Krampert will lead the choir. What should I know?
Plan to attend practice at 6:00 PM on the night(s) that you will participate;
Attire for choir members: See Pastor Hammond.
Will transportation be provided for services? See Pastor Hammond if you would like to ride the church van.
Whare are the outstanding needs?
Financial support (mark giving envelopes "Bridgeport Crusade”);
Housing is needed for 12-16 volunteers who are visiting from out-of-town (see Pastor Hammond for details).
