What is the crusade?
 The Bridgeport Gospel Crusade is a three-week effort designed to deliver the gospel to every home in Bridgeport.  The crusade culminates in a five-night evangelistic tent meeting (combined with a daily afternoon youth program).

Who is the organizer?  Northeast for Christ Ministries, a ministry of Gospel Baptist Church, Manchester, New Hampshire, under the direction of Evangelist John Barnes.

When is the crusade?  

  • Door-to-door gospel outreach effort will be conducted July 27 - August 21, 2026.

  • A daily youth program and nightly tent meetings will be conducted August 17-21, 2026.

Where is the crusade? The youth program and nightly services will be conducted under a tent at 926 State Street in Bridgeport.  

 

How may our church members participate?

  • Prior to the crusade, our members may participate by:

    • Helping to prepare John & Romans booklets (see Pastor Hammond);

    • Assisting with daily door-to-door canvassing.

      • Mondays - Saturdays, July 27 - August 21.

      • Teams will tentatively meet at LHBC at 9:00 AM daily.

  • During the crusade week, our members will have the opportunity to:

    • Attend the nightly services at 6:30 PM;  

    • Sing in a choir during nightly services (commitment can be one or more nights):

      • The choir will be led by Pastor Tom Krampert of Heritage Baptist Church, Norwood, MA. 

        • Plan to attend practice at 6:00 PM on the night(s) that you will participate;

        • Attire for choir members: See Pastor Hammond.

Transportation for services. See Pastor Hammond if you would like to ride the church van.

Whare are the outstanding needs?

  • Prepare packets for canvassing. (See pastoir Hammond)

  • Financial support (mark your giving "Bridgeport Crusade”);
