BRIDGEPORT GOSPEL CRUSADE TO BRING FIVE NIGHTS OF BIBLE PREACHING AND COMMUNITY OUTREACH TO BRIDGEPORT
Three-week outreach effort will culminate with nightly tent services and children’s programs, August 17–21, 2026
BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — Churches from throughout the region will come together for the 2026 Bridgeport Gospel Crusade, a citywide evangelistic effort culminating in five nights of special tent services from Monday, August 17, through Friday, August 21.
The services will be held nightly from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. under a tent at 926 State Street in Bridgeport. Each evening will include choir music, personal testimonies and practical Bible preaching. The meetings are open to the public, and free transportation is available.
Afternoon Clubs for children and teenagers will also be offered each day from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. The program will include games, sports, and other activities.
“Our desire is to clearly share the good news of Jesus Christ and offer the people of Bridgeport a message of genuine hope,” said Evangelist John Barnes, director of Northeast for Christ Ministries. “We invite individuals and families from throughout the city to join us for these special meetings.”
The crusade is the culmination of a three-week outreach effort running from July 27 through August 21. Volunteers from participating churches are visiting homes throughout Bridgeport to distribute Gospel literature and personally invite residents to attend.
The Bridgeport Gospel Crusade is organized by Northeast for Christ Ministries, a ministry of Gospel Baptist Church in Manchester, New Hampshire, under the direction of Evangelist John Barnes.
